James Freeman is an attorney of the Mike Slocumb Law Firm Washington, D.C. office, where he handles a variety of personal injury claims and lawsuits, such as product liability, premises liability, car accidents, bus accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, and slip-and-fall accidents. Before joining the firm, he was a bodily injury adjuster for a large, national insurance company. In this role, he learned the inside tactics, techniques, and procedures of the insurance industry, which he now uses to the advantage of our clients.
No stranger to stressful situations, James served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and completed three combat zone deployments in the Middle East and East Africa. Furthermore, he completed these tours of duty between years of law school. He was awarded a United States Navy Air Medal, a Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and two United States Joint Service Commendation Medals. His time with the Armed Forces solidified his drive for fighting for what is right and cemented his determination to never give up, no matter how tough things might get. Our clients appreciate his earnest and compassionate approach to casework that lets them know there is a real fighter on their side.
James grew up in Crown Point, Indiana, before moving to Indianapolis after college. When he recently relocated to the D.C. area, he sought out a law firm that shared his values and landed comfortably here at Mike Slocumb Law Firm.
In his spare time, James loves to volunteer with veterans service organizations and still serves in the U.S. Navy Reserve. He likes to explore outdoor parks in the D.C. region, listen to National Public Radio programs, cheer during Indiana University Hoosier basketball games, and relax with his precious cat.
