Matt graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and an Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies. Matt continued his education at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, AL, where he graduated. While in law school, he served as a class representative in the Student Bar Association and was a member of Cumberland’s nationally-renowned trial team.
After graduating law school, Matt served as an Assistant District Attorney, first in Mobile, Alabama, and then in Baldwin County, Alabama. During his tenure as a prosecutor, he tried and won countless jury trials, from DUIs and simple property crimes to child sexual abuse and murder
Matt is a member of Eastern Shore Baptist Church in Daphne, AL. When he isn’t in the office, Matt enjoys two passions: fishing and turkey hunting.
