Miranda Simpson-Yancey

Attorney

Miranda Simpson-Yancey is an attorney at the Mike Slocumb Law Firm’s Denver, Colorado office. She is an experienced personal injury lawyer with a long record of success in helping victims of motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and other negligence-based incidents fight for justice and the fair compensation they are owed. Ms. Simpson-Yancey’s past experience includes working as a criminal prosecutor in the areas of business law, estate planning, probate, and estate litigation.

Ms. Simpson-Yancey grew up in northern Alabama. She attended the University of Alabama, where she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She then went to Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law with a Presidential Scholarship and received her J.D.

Immediately following law school, Ms. Simpson-Yancey worked for the District Attorney’s office, which proved to be an eye-opening experience. She had always pictured herself as a social justice warrior, arguing constitutional law on behalf of criminal defendants. Ending up on the prosecution side allowed her to view the criminal justice system more objectively and gave her a deep respect for law enforcement.

In the area of personal injury, Ms. Simpson-Yancey approaches her practice with a sense of urgency. She believes she must put constant pressure on responding parties to receive fair and timely evaluations of her clients’ claims. She always displays confidence in her position and willingness to see a fair result through to the end, even when that means going to trial.

In working with her clients and setting their expectations, Ms. Simpson-Yancey firmly believes in being objective and fair. She sees her job as using her skills and experience to pursue what is fair for her clients. She also relates personally to her clients, who come from all walks of life. She can appreciate the circumstances each of them is enduring because of their injuries.

Ms. Simpson-Yancey is admitted to the Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Colorado State Bars and handles personal injury cases in all four states.

Ms. Simpson-Yancey is married to Jeshua Yancey, a Navy veteran. She is an avid supporter of mental health causes, particularly for veterans. A lover of live music, animals, and traveling, she is also a supporter of musicians in small local music communities, as well as local and national animal rescue organizations. She has even opened her home to foster dozens of dogs awaiting adoption.
