Cassandra Peña is an attorney of Mike Slocumb Law Firm’s Washington, D.C. office, where she helps our clients through difficult personal injury claims. With her experience, Attorney Peña can work on cases involving car accidents, truck accidents, premises liability, product liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and more.
Cassandra grew up in El Paso, Texas, and always had an interest in connecting with and helping people. When she moved to Washington D.C. to attend American University for her bachelor’s degree in political science, which made her a first-generation college graduate in her family, she became fascinated with the inner workings of the government, specifically the judicial system and its many legal intricacies. It was not long before she decided that a legal career was her calling. She went to The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law for her J.D. While there, she was a law clerk with the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations and was a student attorney for the Veterans Affairs and Estate Planning Clinic.
After passing the bar to practice in the District of Columbia, Attorney Peña focused on finding a law firm that shared her passion for securing justice for everyday people in need. She has found a welcoming home and place to grow her skills here at Mike Slocumb Law Firm.
Cassandra is proud to stay active in her community by volunteering at her church and looking for other local opportunities to give back. She knows that a small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.
After spending nearly a decade in Washington, D.C., she now proudly calls it her forever home. In her free time, Cassandra loves to play with her beautiful pug, Paloma.
