Bio
Samantha Owens is an attorney at the Mike Slocumb Law Firm’s Washington, DC office where she focuses her practice on personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and premises liability matters.
Samantha grew up near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Seeking warmer weather, she moved to the East Coast to attend college at the University of Virginia, where she studied history and psychology. Samantha graduated from the University of Virginia in 2021, with distinction. Over the course of her time at the University of Virginia, Samantha developed a love for the DC-Maryland-Virginia area. She moved to Washington, DC and attended law school at American University Washington College of Law.
While in law school, Samantha was active in various student organizations. She served as an Executive Officer of both the Student Bar Association and the law school’s chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Project. Samantha also partipated in American University’s Clinical Program, where she gained invaluable hands-on experience in client advocacy as a student attorney in the Immigrant Justice Clinic.
Samantha is passionate about supporting clients through difficult times in their lives. She values open communication and endeavors to treat each case as a collaborative effort between herself and her clients. Leading with empathy and understanding, she works hard to ensure clients feel supported throughout each stage of their case.
When she is not working, Samantha enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She also stays busy caring for her two cats, Cheeto and Benny.
