Graduating from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in May 2024, Jessica has developed a strong foundation in various areas of law, focusing particularly on personal injury and criminal defense. During her time at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Jessica excelled academically while also actively participating in various extracurricular activities that honed her legal skills. She completed internships at Roxell Richards Injury Law Firm and the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission, where she gained invaluable hands-on experience in legal research, case management, and client representation. At Roxell Richards Injury Law Firm, she worked closely with clients, helping them navigate the complexities of personal injury cases. This experience allowed her to sharpen her skills in customer service and legal assistance, ensuring that her clients felt supported and informed throughout the legal process.

Jessica’s role at the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission further solidified her commitment to public service. There, she provided critical support to attorneys representing clients who could not afford legal representation. Her exposure to a diverse range of cases has deepened her understanding of the legal challenges faced by marginalized communities, reinforcing her dedication to advocacy and equality in the legal system.

In addition to her academic and professional accomplishments, Jessica is a certified mediator and a proud member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women.
