Stacy C. Hansen

Managing Attorney

Stacy Hansen is a managing attorney at our Washington D.C. office, where she handles plaintiffs’ personal injury cases. After more than a decade spent working in the insurance industry, primarily handling personal injury claims, she was driven to help those who have suffered serious injuries and losses due to the negligence of others. In addition to personal injury law, Ms. Hansen has extensive experience in family law matters, estate planning, and has even secured an opinion from the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals on a workers’ compensation case. She also worked for UAB Hospital in Alabama, handling liens.

Ms. Hansen grew up in California and went to high school in China. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California before going on to earn her J.D. from the Birmingham School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude. In law school, she was also a member of the Honor Court.

When helping her clients navigate the legal process, Ms. Hansen makes sure they understand the process and have a clear picture of how each step will be handled. In addition to obtaining extensive experience in insurance defense, Ms. Hansen understands what her clients are going through, having been injured in a wreck herself. She draws on these experiences to provide her clients with empathetic, personalized, and aggressive legal representation. Whether at work or in any area of her life, she is a constant advocate for those who do not have a voice.

In addition to her professional legal practice, Ms. Hansen served as a law professor at her alma mater, Birmingham School of Law for over a decade. She was awarded the Outstanding Professor Award in 2019, 2020, and 2022.
