Tim Schurmann is an attorney at our office in Dallas, Texas, where he focuses his practice on personal injury law. He brings experience in insurance defense to his practice, which provides him with unique insight into how the other side operates. He utilizes this knowledge to effectively advocate for the injured and pursue the full, fair compensation they are owed.
Mr. Schurmann was born in Massachusetts and raised in Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with a degree in government and was exposed to the legal field and how the practice of law can significantly impact people’s lives. He went on to obtain his J.D. from Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas, graduating cum laude. During his time in law school, he served as Senior Executive of the Baylor Law Review and was on the Dean’s list. Mr. Schurmann also completed the Certificate Program in Data Science, Continuing Education at Southern Methodist University.
For Mr. Schurmann, some of the most powerful moments of his career have not been attached to any particular monetary outcome but, rather, the effect his representation has had on the lives of the people he serves. The defining moments in his career are the human moments Mr. Schurmann shares with his clients. These are the moments he feels are the most personally rewarding and meaningful.
In all areas of his life, Mr. Schurmann makes a point to continue learning. He learns new skills every day in his legal practice and, outside of his practice, he has learned key skills that make him highly effective as a personal injury attorney. Mr. Schurmann attained Eagle Rank with the Boys Scouts of America, learning firsthand the importance of service, honesty, and determination. Years later, his first job in the legal field was as an insurance defense attorney, where he gained useful insights into how the defense approaches a case. Later still, he earned a Data Science certification from Southern Methodist University. This certification equipped him with analytical skills that have paired exceptionally well with his legal practice.
As a personal injury attorney, Mr. Schurmann approaches every client and every case with empathy and thoughtfulness. No two clients or cases are the same—and he honors and accounts for those differences. He always fights for the best outcome he can achieve for every one of his clients.
Mr. Schurmann is admitted in the state of Texas, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Outside of work, he takes his role as a father to his daughter as his highest personal priority. When he is not fighting for clients or visiting the zoo with his daughter, he enjoys movies, searching for the best cup of coffee, and the occasional weekend vacation.
